AS North West was set up to provide autistic adults and adults with ADHD with socialising opportunities and peer support. We presently have over 100 registered members since we launched. The group is neurodivergent founded and led.
The minimum age for adults joining the group was set at 35 as it was apparent that there were already a number of other groups around the North West that support younger people but nothing for older adults, many of whom are late diagnosed and face unique challenges.
However, with our new accessible base in South Ribble, we want to make sure that local people who would genuinely benefit from making connections with other neurodivergent adults are given the chance to share knowledge, experiences and meet others with similar traits and diagnoses.
Our meetings in Bamber Bridge take place on the third Tuesday of every month, so if you're a neurodivergent adult living in South Ribble, formally diagnosed or on an official waiting list, and you'd like to meet other ND adults, then please register your interest in coming along to our group by either using the contact box below, or by dropping us an email using the contact details on the flyer.
If you're over 25 but under 35, equally, please do send us a message to ask about coming along to the group. We want to make sure that as many people as possible can benefit. Just drop a few details in the form below.
Our venue in Bamber Bridge is fully accessible and includes a lift to the first floor room and bathroom facilities. The number 125 bus stops outside, the train station is a short 160 metre (2 minute) walk and there is a large car park.
There is no obligation to turn up to every session, just come along when you want to, all we ask is that you let us know the day before the meeting so that we can manage numbers and the expectations of existing members.
Coming along to any group can be daunting but being ND led, it goes without saying that we understand this completely. We are happy to answer any questions you might have about attending so do get in touch :-)
PLEASE NOTE, we can't accept on-the-day requests to attend meetings from non Facebook users. This is because there is too much email and web admin involved which we can't deal with properly in such a short space of time.
In registering your interest in the group, the details you provide in the contact form below will only be used to contact you about the group and nothing else. If you subsequently change your mind, your details will be deleted. For our full privacy policy, click HERE.
(PS - we don't need your phone number but it's advisable to share it with us because that will be the only way we can contact you on the day of the meeting after 4pm so you may miss any last minute information if we can't contact you).
